Who is responsible for your personal data?
QuikA Consulting is a trading name of QuikAuthor Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15614090. Registered office: 12 Golden Lane, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 2BN. QuikAuthor Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this notice, and you can contact me about anything here at contact@quikaconsulting.com.
What does the contact form collect, and why?
The contact form asks for your name, email address, company (if you give it), team size, what you need, and a description of what you are trying to achieve. QuikA Consulting uses these to reply to your enquiry, to prepare for a call, and, if you go ahead, to scope and propose the work.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests, in answering the people who contact me, and taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
What does the CHRO AI Playbook sign-up collect, and why?
The sign-up on the CHRO AI Playbook asks for your name, work email address, role and organisation size. It also records which playbook page you signed up on and, if you arrived from a campaign link, the campaign details in that link. QuikA Consulting uses these to email you future playbook releases, and to understand which posts and pages bring people to the playbook.
The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by signing up. You can withdraw it at any time, as described below, and it does not affect anything sent before you withdrew.
Where is it stored?
Both forms send your details to a small server function on the site's hosting provider, Vercel. That function adds them as a row in a Google Sheet held in a Google account controlled by QuikAuthor Ltd, and sends an email notification to the QuikA Consulting inbox. If you sign up for the CHRO AI Playbook, you are also sent one email confirming the sign-up, from that same Google account. If the Sheet cannot be reached, a copy of the submission is written to Vercel's server logs so that it is not lost.
Vercel and Google are based in the United States, so your details may be processed outside the UK. Where they are, it is under the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long is it kept?
- Enquiries from the contact form are kept for up to 24 months after my last contact with you, then deleted.
- If you become a client, the records needed for the engagement are kept for six years after it ends, for accounting and legal reasons.
- CHRO AI Playbook sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or the playbook series ends, and deleted within 30 days of either.
- Copies in the hosting provider's server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
How do I unsubscribe or have my data deleted?
To stop receiving the CHRO AI Playbook, reply to any playbook email or email contact@quikaconsulting.com and say so. You will be removed from the list straight away.
To ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email the same address. QuikA Consulting will respond within one month.
What are your rights?
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Does this site use cookies or analytics?
Only strictly necessary storage is used unless you accept analytics in the cookie banner, in which case Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used, with advertising features switched off. The cookie policy lists every cookie, and you can change your choice there at any time.
Is your data sold or shared?
No. Your details are never sold, and are shared only with the providers named above, Vercel and Google, who process them on QuikAuthor Ltd's behalf to run the site, the Sheet and the email.
Will this notice change?
If what the site collects or how it is used changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
